About This Scholarship

The Wellness Scholarship is a year-long financial support program created through the Health + Wellness Fair, designed to support 1–2 individuals in building sustainable wellness habits — physically, mentally, and emotionally. Recipients receive financial support toward wellness services, along with structure and accountability throughout the year. Funds are distributed 2–4 times across the program year and can be used toward fitness, mental health support, yoga, bodywork, outdoor recreation, nutrition, and more. Recipients are selected entirely through community nominations and are open to residents of June Lake, Mammoth Lakes, and Bishop. The program runs September 2026 through September 2027.

Why? Because A Year Can Change Everything

The Wellness Scholarship exists because wellness should not be a privilege. In mountain communities like June Lake, Mammoth Lakes, and Bishop, people work hard — often in service, hospitality, and the outdoors — and the resources to support their physical, mental, and emotional health are not always within reach.

Created through the Health + Wellness Fair, this scholarship invests in 1–2 community members each year with a full year of financial support toward the wellness services, classes, and providers that make a real difference. Recipients are chosen entirely by their neighbors — nominated by the people who know them, live alongside them, and believe in what a year of support could mean for their life.

The Mammoth Lakes Wellness Scholarship is committed to equity, inclusion, and the belief that wellness is a right — not a privilege.
